Underpass Graphic Novel

Underpass Graphic Novel

Oct 20

Admittedly, I’m not much of a fan of the dark fantasy genre.  Despite that,  I still  can’t help it but feel some excitement when I heard news about Summit Media’s Underpass - the company’s first product as they dip their toes in comics publishing for the first time (and hopefully not the last).

And man! What an awesome graphic novel they have here. Summit has wisely chosen to tap some of our local comics industry’s biggest names such as  Budjette Tan, Kajo Baldisimo, Gerry Alanguilan, Ian Sta. Maria, David Hontiveros and Oliver Pulumbarit.

The anthology contains four stories and they’re there on the cover just in case you missed it (feel free to click that one for a closer look). Each one seems interesting but, as much as I hate picking favorites, it’s Gerry’s SIM I find most intriguing at this time. Its about a guy who finds a SIM card and starts getting weird messages from its previous owner. Hhhmm… When I get my copy, I think I’m gonna read that first.

And did I tell you that this is a full colored graphic novel? Yes, it is, baby! Full colored. San ka pa? :D

I’m gonna go grab a copy when this finally hits the stands. I’m really eager to discover what lurks in the Underpass.

Bro, naku astig to better grab this one when you can. So far ang nagustuhan ko ay ang “Sim” by Gerry Alanguilan and “The Clinic” by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo. And I got them all to sign my copy last 2009 Komikon. Sayang hindi ka nakapunta… Nakapunta ka nga ba? With your situation right now baka hindi nga… Anyway Good luck sa iyo jan.. Sana safe kayo jan…

    God bless… ^_^

Ah, oo, si Kuya Ian ng Skyworld! Sobrang bait din non. Natutuwa ako doon ng pumirma siya sa Renaissance ko. Hehe.

At sobrang talented nga ni Kuya Ian! Galing na galing din ako sa kanya!
