Lego Ghostbusters Ecto-1

Those who frequent the blog may have noticed I’m on a little nostalgia trip as of late.

First, there’s Krang. Then there’s Gatchaman.

Now to make things worse, I found this Lego version of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 on the web and I’m impressed with the accuracy.

If you were born in the 80’s, I’m sure you’d want one for your room.

This awesome Ghostbusters car has been rendered by Flickr user Orion Pax. While he doesn’t give us details about how long it took him to create this, he confirms it was indeed “a nightmare to build.”

Too bad this isn’t available as a Lego set yet! So what we all fanboys can do for now is to stare at these pictures in envy. Or go ahead and try creating one.

I first read about Electromagnetic Tentacles when Comicology blogged about them last ToyCon. I thought these guys were insanely good! Their shirt concepts are really catchy and hilarious – especially if you are a Filipino. They’ve got cool parody shirts of our favorite superheroes all mixed up with local Pinoy culture.

Now being more of a Marvel fan, these three automatically became my favorites. I love the Spider-Man-Venom fight the most though!

League Of Lanterns

Some geeks just can’t get enough out of following the comics or collecting those colorful plastic rings. Some just had to cosplay their favorite Lanterns and appear together at several conventions in the US.

They call themselves the League Of Lanterns.

Minor accuracy issues and beer bellies aside, these guys get to prove that group cosplays are always the coolest!

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

It may have taken a decade for this one but looking at the teaser trailer alone, I’d say its pretty much worth the wait.

In other words, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds sure looks fantastic!

It feels more like a motion comic than an actual video game – and that makes it more exciting.

Now here’s a few screen shots of the upcoming game.

Now, who told you that War Machine's more "heavily-armed" than Iron Man?

You all know what this is - its the immortal "down-forward-punch" move!

Well, this one's called Berserker Barrage, bub!

Someone needs some serious Gamma Crush this part of the town.

Okay, enough with the corny captions! Hahah!

Anyway, I’d just like to say I’m excited to see the other characters like Ken, Mega Man, Spider-Man (of course!) and the newer guys. I’m guessing Deadpool will be part of this!

Iron Man and War Machine Nike Sneakers

The Iron Man 2 mania is definitely far from over! Besides, if Wolverine and heck, even Mickey Mouse got their own Nike sneakers, there’s no reason why everyone’s favorite angsty, billionaire-inventor should be left behind!

Now as if a pair of Iron Man sneakers isn’t cool enough, good ole Shell Head is also tagging along his heavily-armed buddy War Machine – just like in the movies.

So here’s how the Nike kicks look like:

Yes, both the Iron Man and War Machine sneakers has this super cool arc reactor light you can turn on and off by pressing the tounge.

No, not one of them comes equipped with repulsor rays or gattling guns.

Iron Man Mark V Leather Motorcycle Suit

If you’re a geek and you’ve seen the Iron Man suitcase armor in Iron Man 2, then you’ve probably exclaimed “I WANT ONE!”

Well, wishes do come true and you can now own the Iron Man Mark V suit – or a replica version, at least!

From the same guys who gave you the Batman motorcycle attire comes the Iron Man 2 Mark V Leather Motorcycle Suit.

Without a doubt, Universal Designs is becoming the Hot Toys of leather motorcycle gears. They’ve got the coolest stuff plus their accuracy when it comes to the details simply amazes me much.

Of course, I’m not sure if the actual thing lights up but isn’t it amazing to see something that closely resembles the original?

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Animated Series

Less it gets snubbed or utterly forgotten because of the sheer awesomeness that is the upcoming Iron Man 2 (talk about surefire blockbuster, man!), let me share you something about an animated series called The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes .

Of course, this will be shown much later than Iron Man 2 since this will only hit the screens come 2011. This is really more of a preparation for the live action Avengers film and this is Marvel’s way to introduce the team to younger audiences.

With that in mind, does that tell us a bit about the movie’s future lineup? Will it have Ant Man, Wasp and *gasp* Hulk too? That would be totally cool, if ever! It would be awesome to see Edward Norton return to the role.

This Avengers animated series has 26 episodes and I’d say I’m super excited. This should be much better than the Super Hero Squad! Hahaha!
