Another Pinoy Shoutout on Ultimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk #6

Last Sunday, a Budjette Tan article was published at the Sunday Inquirer magazine about hidden “easter eggs” on comics (or “balut eggs” as he fondly refers to it) which were mostly done by Filipino comic book artists and writers.

One example of that was when Marvel superstar Leinil Francis Yu drew the heroes of X-Men eating Chow King take-out food on X-Men Annual. Of course, that was an inside-joke that only most of us Pinoys got right away.

Now for Ultimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk #6, it looks like Leinil is doing something of a tribute for the late Francis M. Of course, this isn’ the first time he did this since FMCC has also been in the background of one of those Secret Invasion issues but hey! Check out this new preview page from Marvel and see something for us Pinoy comics fan boys to cheer on!

Saw that one? Well, i’m sure you did! Ultimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk #6 hits the stores on May 28 and is written by Damon Lindelof and illustrated by Leinil Yu.
